Viewing an Extraction Map

Viewing an Extraction Map

You can view the columns in an extraction map, including the columns that are generated by PowerExchange.
  1. Open the extraction group.
  2. Open the extraction map.
    The
    Extract Definition
    window appears and displays column information on the following tabs:
    • The
      Map
      tab displays metadata for the columns for which PowerExchange captures changes and for the PowerExchange-generated DTL__ columns if you choose to show the generated columns.
    • The
      Extensions
      tab displays the PowerExchange-generated DTL__CI and DTL__BI columns if you added them to one or more extraction map columns.
    To show the PowerExchange-generated columns, right-click anywhere on the
    Map
    tab and click
    Show Auto Generated Columns
    .
    To hide the PowerExchange-generated columns, right-click anywhere on the
    Map
    tab and click
    Hide Auto Generated Columns
    .
    To add DTL__CI and DTL__BI columns for one or more data columns, right-click anywhere on the
    Map
    tab and click
    Amend Change Indicator/Before Image Extensions
    . These columns will appear on both tabs.
    To sort the list of columns on either tab by column name or metadata field, click the metadata column heading.
