Phase I. Upgrade the PowerExchange Base Software

In this phase of the upgrade, you allocate libraries on the
z/OS
 system, extract the
z/OS
 installation files to the Windows system, and use the z/OS Installation Assistant to upgrade the PowerExchange base software on the
z/OS
 system.
After you run the z/OS Installation Assistant, you must complete additional tasks on the
z/OS
 system.
All PowerExchange users must complete the steps in this phase.
