Overview

You can use Enterprise Data Manager to discover table relationships and find foreign keys.
Find foreign key relationships in Enterprise Data Manger to create entities. You can use entities to access related information that exists in multiple tables and archive data based on table relationships.
Before you begin profiling in Enterprise Data Manager, verify the following prerequisites:
  • The Model Repository Service must be configured and running. For more information, see
    Chapter 7: Model Repository Service
    of the

  • The Data Integration Service must be running and a profiling warehouse must be configured. For more information, see
    Chapter 3: Data Integration Service

To discover foreign key relationships, perform the following tasks:
  1. Configure the profile and discovery parameters in Data Archive.
  2. Start Enterprise Data Manager.
  3. Import metadata from the database into Enterprise Data Manager.
  4. Discover table relationships.
  5. Define foreign keys.
