To set up database connectivity and Data Archive to archive from IBM DB2 sources, complete the following steps:
Set up IBM DB2 privileges.
Bind the packages on IBM DB2.
For custom applications, mine the source database and create entities.
Create a source connection for the IBM DB2 source database.
Create a target connection for the IBM DB2 target database or for the Data Vault.
Create an archive project.
This process is required when you archive from IBM DB2 to a file or to another IBM DB2 database. Note that after you set up the privileges and bind the packages, the Data Archive setup is the same as other databases. No special configuration is required for IBM DB2 sources.
