Before CLAIRE can recommend rule specifications, create a data quality rule occurrence and associate a source object column to the occurrence in
Data Governance and Catalog
. Then, associate a rule specification to the rule occurrence and run a profiling job on the source. When you use the source object in the Mapping Designer, CLAIRE recommends the rule specification associated with the object columns.
When a recommendation is available,
Data Integration
highlights the
Recommendations
tab. Select the
Recommendations
tab to see the recommendations.
In the list of recommendations, click the
Show Me
icon for the rule specification that you want to investigate. A Rule Specification transformation with the recommended rule specification appears on the mapping canvas linked to the associated source.
Data Integration
automatically maps fields based on the field name and type.
If you want to use the rule specification, in the
Recommendations
tab, click the
Accept
icon. In the mapping canvas, connect the Rule Specification transformation to the data flow.
If you don't want to use the recommended rule specification, click
Decline
.
Data Integration
removes the recommended Rule Specification transformation from the mapping canvas.
