Monitoring Rule Properties

Monitoring rule properties include general information about the monitoring rule, the asset or assets to which the rule applies, the event statuses that the rule monitors, and the rule action or actions.

The following image shows a sample monitoring rule page:

The top of the Monitoring Rule page shows the general details, including rule name, description, mode, content. The middle of the page shows the affected assets, including asset type. The bottom of the page shows affected statuses, including status name.

The monitoring rule page includes the following properties:

Rule Name: Name of the monitoring rule. The name can contain up to 60 characters and can contain special characters.
Description: Description of the monitoring rule. The description can contain up to 255 characters.
Mode: Monitoring rule mode, enabled or disabled. A disabled rule does not perform the defined actions.
Content: The conditions of the monitoring rule.
Affected Assets: The publications or subscriptions that the rule applies to.
Affected Statuses: The statuses of the affected assets that the rule applies to.
Actions: The actions that the rule performs when any of the affected assets are in any of the affected statuses.
