External Business Entity Services Calls and Applications

External Business Entity Services Calls and Applications

Effective in version 10.4, Multidomain MDM uses certificate-based authentication to authenticate external business entity services calls and applications. You need to configure a trusted application user for external calls and applications. Also, EJB is not supported for external calls. You must use the HTTP communication protocol instead.
Previously, you could use user credentials for the authentication of external calls and applications and base the external calls and applications on EJB.
If you used the BESExternalCall sample code and the libraries included in the Resource Kit to implement custom business entity services and applications, upgrade your external calls and applications.
For more information about certificate-based authentication and application users, see the
Multidomain MDM Version 10.4 Security Guide
. For information about upgrading your external calls and applications, see the
Multidomain MDM Version 10.4 Upgrade Guide
