Edge Data Streaming Node Restart and Failover

Edge Data Streaming Node Restart and Failover

To maximize operation time in the event of a failure, the
EDS Node
can restart on the same machine or fail over to a backup machine.
The
EDS Node
process script
node.sh
runs the
processmonitor-node.sh
script which detects if the
EDS Node
is running. If the EDS Node process stops unexpectedly, the
processmonitor-node.sh
script restarts the
EDS Node
.
The
./remote-node.sh
script detects if a
EDS Node
that is installed on a remote machine is running. If the remote
EDS Node
stops unexpectedly, the
./remote-node.sh
script restarts it.
When a
EDS Node
process fails, it fails over to one of the backup machines which share the
EDS Node
name. The
EDS Node
on the active machine starts collecting data from the data source.
