The following image shows some sample connections in a high-availability deployment:
In the deployment, the Administrator Daemon, LBMRD, Apache ZooKeeper, and the EDS Node run on Machine 1, Machine 2, and Machine 3, on which Informatica is installed.
The following failover scenarios can occur:
Informatica Domain on Machine 1 becomes unavailable
If the domain becomes unavailable on Machine 1, it fails over to Machine 2. The
Administrator Daemon
and LBMRD on Machine 1 also fail over to Machine 2. Apache ZooKeeper and the EDS Node continue to function on Machine 1.
Machine 1 becomes unavailable
If Machine 1 becomes unavailable, the Informatica domain,
Administrator Daemon
, and LBMRD can fail over to Machine 2 or Machine 3. The failover mechanism of Apache ZooKeeper and the EDS Node is independent of Informatica domain and
Administrator Daemon
failover. Each one of them could failover to either Machine 2 or Machine 3.
