Exporting schedules

You can export schedules from your organization and import them into other organizations. Assets that are associated with the schedules are not included in the export file. Export schedules on the
Schedules
page.
  1. In
    Administrator
    , select
    Schedules
    .
  2. Click
    Export
    .
  3. In the
    Export Schedules
dialog box, select the schedules that you want to export.
  4. Optionally, update the export job name.
By default, the job name is
    SchedulesExport_<date>
    .
  5. Click
    Export
    .
    Administrator
creates an export job to export the schedule.
  6. To check the status of the export job and download the export file, open the
    Import/Export Logs
    page in
    Monitor
    , and click the
    Export
    tab.
You can download the export file in the row that contains the export job or on the job details page.
You can import schedules on the
Explore
page in another service such as
Data Integration
. For information about importing assets, see the help for that service.
After you import schedules, you can associate them with assets in the target organization.

This documentation is incorrect. Even with full admin permissions, export file cannot be downloaded. Please file a bug report for this and update documentation with a workaround.

Informatica Documentation Team - January 10, 2024

Hi Bucky Badger,

Thanks for reaching out! We were able to successfully download an export file by following this procedure. So, can you please let us know at which step you got stuck? Were you able to click the "Export" button on at the top of the Administrator "Schedules" page? Did you  see the "Export Schedules" dialog box and select the schedules to export? When you switched to Monitor, were you able to see the export job on the "Export" tab? When you hover over the job name, can you see the download icon on the right?

We'd like to find out whether we need to clarify this procedure or whether you need to reach out to Global Customer Support for help with this.

Thank you for your comment. We're looking into this issue and we'll update the documentation as needed in a future release.

This documentation is incorrect. We can't IMPORT schedule from Data Integration. We can Import schedules using Application Integration only. Updated document accordingly and add screenshots.

Thanks,

Hi Sowjanya Y.,

Thanks for reaching out. You are correct in that you can't import a schedule in Data Integration. However, you can import a schedule on the Explore page in other services like Application Integration, B2B Gateway, and Mass Ingestion.

We'll verify the expected behavior with our development and QA teams and update the documentation accordingly.

Thanks again for bringing this to our attention!

Informatica Documentation Team - February 22, 2024

Hi again Sowjanya Y.,

We've verified that you can actually import a schedule in Data Integration. However, the schedule isn't listed as an asset on the Import page, like it is in Application Integration and other services. If you go ahead and click the Import button, the schedule actually does get imported.

We've filed an issue with development asking that this be fixed.

Hi,

I can able to import schedules now in data integration service, although while importing it says no assets availalbe to import

Informatica Documentation Team - March 22, 2024

Hi Kowshik J,

This is a known issue that will be fixed by development in an upcoming release. It is listed as a known issue in the Data Integration release notes.

If you click Import, the schedule will actually be imported even though the import process says that no assets are available to import.
