Creating a Source Controller in High-Availability Mode
You can add one or more source controllers to a default topology. You can choose to configure the source controllers in high-availability mode if you want multiple backup instances of the source controller.
You must have at least two nodes in a topology to configure high availability.
Shut down the run-time topology.
On the
Administration
tab, click the
Topology
view.
Under
Topology Model
in the navigator, click
Source Controller
in the displayed topology default folder.
From the
Actions
menu in the upper-right pane, select
Add Source Controller
.
Under
Details
, enter the following configuration details for the source controller:
Under
Name
, provide a name for the source controller.
Under
Description
, optionally provide a description for the source controller.
Under
Deployment Mode
, select
High Availability
to create multiple backup instances of the source controller.
Under
Primary Node
, select the node where you want to run the primary source controller instance.
Under
Backup Node
, select the node where you want to run the backup instance of the source controller.
You can choose multiple nodes to create multiple backup instances of the source controllers.
Under
Properties
, enter the configuration details for the source controller:
The contents panel displays the newly configured source controller in the default topology. The contents panel header also displays the total number of source controllers configured, while the lower pane displays the details and properties of the source controller.
