Adding an Activity Manager

Adding an Activity Manager

The installer installs the default topology, which consists of a single activity manager. You can add more activity managers to a default topology.
  1. Shut down the run-time topology.
  2. Add a host to the topology before you add an activity manager.
  3. On the
    Administration
    tab, click the
    Topology
    view.
  4. Under
    Topology Model
    in the navigator, click
    Activity Manager
    in the displayed topology default folder.
  5. From the
    Actions
    menu in the upper-right panel, select
    Add Activity Manager
    .
  6. Under
    Details
    , provide the following information:
    1. Under
      Name
      , type a name for the activity manager.
      The name must not start with numbers or spaces.
    2. Under
      Description
      , optionally, provide a description for the activity manager.
    3. Under
      Node
      , select the node where you want to add the activity manager.
  7. Under
    Properties
    , provide the configuration details.

  8. Click
    Save
    .
  9. Start the run-time topology.
