Creating an Event Processor in High-Availability Mode
You can add one or more event processors to a default topology, and choose to configure the event processors in high-availability mode. Each event processor can have multiple backup instances.
You must have at least two nodes in a topology to configure an event processor in high-availability mode.
Shut down the run-time topology.
On the
Administration
tab, click the
Topology
view.
Under
Topology Model
in the navigator, click
Event Processor
in the displayed topology folder.
From the
Actions
menu in the right pane, select
Add Event Processor
.
Under
Details
, enter the following configuration details for the event processor:
Under
Name
, provide a name for the event processor.
Under
Description
, optionally provide a description for the event processor.
Under
Deployment Mode
, select
High Availability
to create backup instances of the event processor.
Under
Primary Node
, select the node where you want to run the primary event processor instance.
Under
Backup Node
, select the node where you want to run the backup instance of the event processor.
You can choose multiple nodes to create multiple backup instances of the event processors.
Under
Properties
, enter the values for the event processor and related configuration details.
Click
Save
.
The contents panel displays the configured event processor in the default topology. The contents panel header also displays the total number of event processors configured. The details view displays the details and properties of the event processor.
