Initializing Variables at Runtime

Initializing Variables at Runtime

You can initialize the values of variables in the following ways:
  • In the Script, you can configure the
    initialization
    property of the
    Variable
    .
The initial values that you set by this approach are used when you run the transformation in the Developer tool or as a service.
  • An application can pass the initial values as service parameters to a service at runtime.
    The service parameters override the
    initialization
property of the variables. If the Script specifies an initial value, and you also pass a value from an application, the latter value is used.
