The documentation portal is undergoing maintenance. During this period, you can't create any new user credentials. If you do, you'll need to recreate the user credential after the maintenance period ends.
To prepare for an installation, perform the following tasks:
Verify Informatica services requirements. Verify that application services are running in the domain.
Verify the system requirements. Verify that the PowerCenter Client machine meets the following requirements:

PowerCenter version requirements
Permission requirements
Prepare the Data Validation Option repository database. Perform the following tasks to set up the repository database:
Set up a database user account for the repository database.
Verify the database requirements for the database that you use.
Configure associated PowerCenter users. Each Data Validation Option user is associated with a PowerCenter user.
Record information that you will need when you configure Data Validation Option. Record information about the repository, the domain, and user authentication.
