Verify the System Requirements

Verify the System Requirements

You must install Data Validation Option on a PowerCenter Client machine. Verify that the machine where you plan to install Data Validation Option meets the minimum system requirements.
Verify that the PowerCenter Client machine meets the following requirements:
Minimum system requirements
The PowerCenter Client machine where you install Data Validation Option must have at least 1 GB of RAM and 256 MB of disk space.
Based on the PowerCenter version that you use, you also need to download and install Visual C++ Redistributable Package for version 2013.

PowerCenter version requirements
The PowerCenter version must be at least 10.2.0.
Permission requirements
Verify that you have permissions on the PowerCenter Client machine to complete the following tasks:
  • Create and modify environment variables.
  • Read from and write to the Data Validation Option installation directory and subdirectories.
