Adabas Considerations

Adabas Considerations

The Adabas interface module DTLAMADA uses L3 keyed access under the following conditions:
  • The Adabas nucleus is configured to support L3 calls.
  • The configuration file specifies ADA_L3_ALLOW=Y.
  • The map optimization level is set to
    limits only
    or
    ranges
    .
  • The L3 access supports the values supplied in the WHERE clause for the primary key column.
Under other conditions, the Adabas interface module uses non-optimized L2 calls to retrieve records.
