Creating a CA Certificate using IBM Navigator for i and IBM Digital Certificate Manager

To create a CA certificate, use IBM Navigator for i and IBM Digital Certificate Manager.
The CA for the IBM i machine should be created by a user who has suitable security office authority for the whole machine.
  1. Use IBM Navigator for i to connect to the Digital Certificate Manager.
  2. In the Digital Certificate Manager, select Create Certificate.
  3. Select Local Certificate Authority (CA).
    The CA is created in Certificate store path and filename.
  4. Enter the password to the Certificate store path and filename.
  5. Enter the details that you recorded in Record Certificate Details for the certificate authority.
