CONSOL_MOSTFREQ

Analyzes a port in the record group and returns the most frequently occurring value, including blank or null values.

Syntax

CONSOL_MOSTFREQ(string, group by)

The following table describes the arguments for this command:

Argument	Required/Optional	Description
string	Required	Input port name.
group by	Required	Name of the input port that contains the group identifier.

Return Value

The most frequently occurring value, including blank or null values.

If the highest number of occurences is shared by two or more values, the strategy returns the first qualifying value.

Example

The following expression uses the

CONSOL_MOSTFREQ

function to analyze the Company input port and find the most frequently occurring value:

Company1:= CONSOL_MOSTFREQ(Company, GroupKey)

In this expression, the

CONSOL_MOSTFREQ

function uses the GroupKey port to identify a record group. Within that record group, the function analyzes the Company port and returns the most frequently occurring value. The expression writes this value to the Company1 output port.
