Starting the Server Manager as a Windows Service

Starting the Server Manager as a Windows Service

Start the Server Manager as a service on Windows. Data Replication provides a script for starting the Server Manager as a service in the top-level installation directory.
  1. At the command prompt, change directory (cd) to the
    DataReplication_installation
    directory using the following syntax:
    cd %DBSYNC_HOME%
    .
  2. Run the start_sm_service.cmd script, or enter the following command at a command prompt:
    server_manager RUN_AS_SERVICE –s
To run multiple instances of a Server Manager service on the same Windows machine, repeat step 1 for each top-level
    DataReplication_installation
    directory. Include the
    INSTANCE
parameter in the command or script to specify a name for the service. For more information about this parameter, see Command Line Parameters for the Server Manager.
