Configure Connection to the Master Org

Configure Connection to the Master Org

On each Spoke Org, configure the custom setting and specify the credentials that enable the Spoke Org to connect to the Master Org.
  1. Perform one of the following tasks based on the Salesforce environment that you use:
    • In Salesforce Classic, perform the following tasks:
      1. Select your name and click
        Setup
        .
      2. Under
        App Setup
        , select
        Develop
        Custom Settings
        .
    • In Lightning Experience, perform the following tasks:
      1. Click the quick access menu ( The image shows the quick access menu. 
						) and then
        Setup Home
        .
        The
        Setup Home
        page appears.
      2. Under
        PLATFORM TOOLS
        , select
        Custom Code
        Custom Settings
        .
    The
    Custom Settings
    page appears.
  2. Click
    Manage
    for
    CMDMMultiOrgSettings
    .
  3. Click
    New
    .
  4. In the
    Name
    field, enter a unique name for the setting.
    The name must match the data source name defined for the Spoke Org in the Master Org.
  5. In the
    Consumer Key
    field, enter the consumer key that was generated in the Salesforce connected app screen.
  6. In the
    Consumer secret
    field, enter the consumer secret that was generated in the Salesforce connected app screen.
  7. In the
    Hub Org Password
    field, enter the password for the Master Org.
  8. In the
    Hub Org Username
    field, enter the user name for the Master Org.
  9. In the
    Hub Org REST API URL
    field, enter the following URL that calls the REST API:
    https://<ServerName>.salesforce.com/services/apexrest/DSE/MasterData/
  10. In the
    OAuth_Token_URL
    field, enter the following URL that generates the token to connect to the Master Org:
    https://login.salesforce.com/services/oauth2/token
    This URL is the Salesforce
    OAuth
    endpoint for token requests.
  11. Click
    Save
    .
