About the Data Manager

About the Data Manager

Data Manager is a component of the Data Steward workbench. Use Data Manager to:
  • Search for and filter base object records
  • View base objects and their associated cross-references in the same screen
  • Unmerge two or more records
  • View base object history records
  • Create new base object records
  • Edit base object records
  • Override base object trust settings
The Data Manager consists of two screens:
Screen
Description
Setup
Allows you to select the search criteria for the information you want to work with: base object, packages, query settings, and display settings.
Data Manager
Displays your information, allows you to view the information’s associated
cross-references
, provides a way to unmerge records, lets you view history records, allows you to create new records and edit existing records, and override a record’s trust settings.
The Data Manager and Merge Manager screens have a similar layout and both allow you to search for records and edit those records. What differentiates the two screens is their content. Data Manager displays base object records that meet your search criteria and their associated cross-references, whereas Merge Manager displays queued, base object records that have consolidation indicator set to 2, and their corresponding base object matches.
