Configure the Email Connection

Configure the Email Connection

In RulePoint, you can configure the email connection to receive alerts through emails.
  1. Log in to the RulePoint Console.
  2. On the
    Design
    tab, click the
    PMPC
    project in the Navigator.
  3. In the
    Connections
    view, select
    email_connection
    from the list in the contents panel.
  4. From the
    Actions
    menu, select
    Edit
    .
  5. Enter the following email configuration information:
    Properties
    Description
    Email server
    Host name of the email server.
    Port
    Port number to connect to the SMTP server.
    User name
    Optional: Required when SMTP user authentication is configured.
    Password
    Optional: Required when SMTP user authentication is configured.
    Retry count
    Number of retry attempts. Default is 2.
    Retry delay
    Waiting time between the connection attempts in milliseconds. Default is 10000.
  6. To test that the connection details are correct, click
    Test Connection
    .
  7. Click
    Save
    .
