You can configure the node agent for operations. You can specify the frequency for data collection, number of processes to collect data on, and the processes to monitor for lifecycle changes.
The node agent periodically gathers CPU, memory, and process lifecycle details from the host machine and then stores the information in the Proactive Monitoring repository. The Proactive Monitoring solution uses the resource consumption information in rule processing and to add additional information to the alerts.
The installer creates the
nodeagent.zip
file in the Proactive Monitoring installation directory.
To configure the node agent, perform the following steps:
Copy the
nodeagent.zip
file to each node that you want to monitor.
Extract the
nodeagent.zip
file.
Run the script from the command line to start the node agent.
On Windows, you can start the node agent from the Windows services list or from the command line:
nodeagent.bat start
