Data Archive uses the entity configuration, such as table owner, table name, and partition name, to drop or truncate partitions. In the Enterprise Data Manager (EDM), you add an interim table to an entity to track the partitions that you want to drop or truncate. If you create an entity, configure the entity as a normal entity that archives or purges data from transaction tables.
