How to Uninstall Data Archive 5.3

  1. Log in to the ILM web application.
  2. Restore all data from the history database.
  3. To drop all the database users and the database links that you created for data archiving, perform the following steps:
    1. Go to
      Administration
      Manage Connections
      .
    2. Select a connection.
    3. Find the attributes for the database link. Drop the database link from that connection.
    4. Find the attribute for the staging user. Drop the staging user and tablespace.
    5. For the destination connection, drop the history user and tablespace.
    6. For the source connection, perform the following steps to drop the seamless access layer:
      • Delete the seamless access App layer based on the application.
      • Drop the seamless access users from the source.
      • Drop the database link that is associated for seamless access.
    7. Repeat steps b through f for each connection.
  4. Stop the ILM Server.
  5. To drop the ILM repository, perform the following steps:
    • Drop the AMHOME user.
    • Drop the data tablespace for the AMHOME user.
    • Drop the index tablespace for the AMHOME user.
  6. Delete the ILM Server directory.
  7. If you archive to file, perform the following steps to uninstall Data Vault Service:
    1. Use the
      npa_stop_sm
      command to stop the Data Vault Service.
    2. Navigate to following file:
      NParchive-dist/conf/sm-config.xml
    3. Delete the data, metadata, and queue directory defined in the file.
    4. Delete the following directory:
      NParchive-dist
    5. If you have the VM image installation of Data Vault Service, stop and delete the VM image.
  8. If you use source adapters, follow the uninstallation steps for the adapter.
  9. Delete any remaining ILM files, such as installation files and documentation.
