Objective

Objective

This document describes how to configure the seamless Access Layer in the Siebel application.
Use the Siebel application through the combined user (AMQUERY by default) which is created during the configuration of the Data Access Layer.
You can visualize data through to the Siebel application in the following ways:
  • Dedicated Client Mode
    • Install the client software.
    • Change the configuration file to connect to the Siebel instance.
  • Web Client Mode.
    • Install Siebel Gateway Name Server, Enterprise Server, Siebel Server, and Siebel Web Server Extension.
    • Make sure that the new Siebel Server repository is same as the Production instance.
    • Create user "AMCOMB" on the Production database.
    • Use the following syntax:
      Grant SSE ROLE to AMCOMB Grant TBLO_ROLE to AMCOMB Grant select all to SADMIN on AMCOMB
    • Change the Object Manager parameters and Server Datasource profile parameters.
