Using parameter files with mapping tasks

You can use a parameter file to specify parameter values in a mapping task.
  1. Configure the mapping task and specify runtime values for each input or in-out parameter.
  2. On the
    Runtime Options
page, download the parameter file template.
The template contains mapping parameters that can be overridden at runtime and their default values, if a default value was specified in the mapping. It might not contain every parameter in the mapping.
  3. Update the default values in the parameter file with the values that you want to use at runtime.
  4. Add any parameters not included in the generated template including partial parameters and system variables.
  5. Save the parameter file or copy the parameters to another parameter file.
  6. On the
    Runtime Options
page, specify the parameter file name and location.
  7. When you want to update a parameter value, update the value in the parameter file instead of updating the value in the task.
