Using parameter files with synchronization tasks and PowerCenter tasks

Use a parameter file to specify parameter values in a

synchronization

task or PowerCenter task.

Create a parameter file that lists task parameters and the values that you want to use at runtime.

Alternatively, add task parameters to an existing parameter file in either a global or task-specific section.

Specify the parameter file name and location on the

Schedule

tab when you configure the task.

When you want to update parameter values, update the values in the parameter file.
