Changing the Approver for Tasks

Changing the Approver for Tasks

If you change the role of the approver for tasks, the change is applied to new tasks only. To process existing tasks, configure a default trigger for the previous approver.
  1. In the Provisioning tool, select
    Business Entity
    Tasks
    .
  2. In the Tasks panel, select
    Triggers
    , and then click
    Create
    .
  3. In the properties panel, enter
    DefaultApproval
    in the
    Name
    field, and then click
    Apply
    .
  4. Create an event.
    1. In the tree view panel, expand the
      DefaultApproval
      node.
    2. Select
      Events
      , and then click
      Create
      .
    3. In the properties panel, select an event from the
      Name
      field, and then click
      Apply
      .
  5. Associate the previous role with the DefaultApproval trigger.
    1. In the tree view panel, expand the
      DefaultApproval
      node.
    2. Select
      Roles
      , and then click
      Create
      .
    3. In the properties panel, select the role from the
      Name
      field, and then click
      Apply
      .
  6. Optionally, specify the business entities to which the trigger applies.
    1. In the tree view panel, expand the
      Role
      node.
    2. Expand the node for the previous role.
    3. Select
      businessEntity
      , and then click
      Create
      .
    4. In the properties panel, select the business entity to which the trigger applies from the
      Name
      field.
    5. Repeat steps 6.d to 6.e for any other business entities to which the trigger applies.
  7. Click
    Publish
    .
