PatternSearch

The

PatternSearch

searcher component searches for a string that matches a regular expression.

Anchors can use

PatternSearch

to find markers or content. The

Delimiter

component can use

PatternSearch

to find delimiters. The

Replace

transformer can use

PatternSearch

to find the text to be replaced.

The following table describes the properties of the

PatternSearch

searcher component:

Property	Description
escape_sequence	Defines a prefix that causes the search component to ignore an instance of the pattern in the source document.
pattern	Defines the regular expression.
