Format Preprocessor Component Reference

Format Preprocessor Component Reference

The following list describes the differences between format preprocessors and document processors:
  • You can assign a document processor to the
    pre_processor
property of an input port, located under the
    example_source
    or
    sources_to_extract
property of a Parser. You can assign a format preprocessor only to the
    pre_processor
    property of a format.
  • A document processor runs on the source document before it performs any other operations.
  • A format preprocessor runs on the text before it searches for anchors. The output of the format preprocessor is not displayed.
For more information, see Document Processors Overview.
