I manually updated the search index for a resource, but the indexing operation failed due to insufficient disk space. When I updated the index again, Metadata Manager displayed the following error:
If the indexing process fails, the index files can become inconsistent. To successfully update the search index, stop the Metadata Manager Service, delete the index files indicated by the error message, and start the Metadata Manager Service. Then reindex the resource manually.
To re-create the entire search index, stop the Metadata Manager Service, delete all index files, and start the Metadata Manager Service. When the index directory is empty, the Metadata Manager Service reindexes all resources during startup.
