Configuring a Table Definition

Configuring a Table Definition

Configure a table definition after you add a data source to the join view in the
Join View Editor
dialog box.
  1. Select the data source in the
    Join View Editor
    dialog box.
  2. Click
    Edit
    in the
    Table Definitions
    pane.
    The
    Edit Table
    dialog box appears.
  3. Enter an alias name for the data source.
    By default, the data source name appears as the alias name.
  4. Select the join type for the data source.
    Select join types for all the data sources except the first data source in the join view.
  5. Configure the connection details for the table. The connection details vary depending on the data source type.
  6. Optionally, enter the WHERE clause.
    Data Validation Option runs the WHERE clause when it fetches data from the table.
  7. If the table is relational, you can choose to push down the WHERE clause in the database.
  8. Select the database optimization level.
  9. Click
    OK
    .
