GetDbKeyOfFirstMember

GetDbKeyOfFirstMember

IDMS. Returns the database key of the first member of the specified set. You can use this function with the record that is the owner of the specified set.
Because this function does not return the IDMS page group or radix, use this function when duplicate databases that are accessed using different page groups do not exist. If duplicate databases might exist, use the GetFullDbKeyOfFirstMember function.
Syntax:
GetDbKeyOfFirstMember('
IDMS_set_name
')
The function returns a value of datatype NUM32U or BIN4.
The following table describes the parameter:
Parameter
Description
IDMS_set_name
IDMS set name.
Enclose this value in single quotation marks.
Do not use an IDMS set name that represents a system index.
This function supports before-image buffering, which is required for adding before-image and change-indicator columns for the user-defined expression fields.
