Defining IDMS Data Map Preferences

Defining IDMS Data Map Preferences

For IDMS data maps, you can define Distributed Database System (DDS) dictionary information.
This information is used for all IDMS data maps, but you can override these values for individual IDMS data maps.
  1. Click
    Options
    Preferences
    .
  2. Click the
    IDMS Properties
    tab.
    The following table describes the information to enter:
    Option
    Description
    Dictionary Name
    DDS dictionary name from which to retrieve subschema metadata.
    DBName
    IDMS database that contains the dictionary.
    Dictionary UserID
    If required, a user ID that has authority to access the specified dictionary.
    Dictionary Password
    If a dictionary user ID is specified, enter a password for that user ID.
    Node Name
    DDS node name.
    Dictionary Node
    DDS dictionary node name.
  3. Click
    OK
