Viewing an SEQ or VSAM Record Hierarchy

You can view the hierarchy for a record in an SEQ or VSAM data map. The hierarchy is based on the
Parent Record Name
,
Redefines Record Name
, and
Header/Trailer Record
optional record properties that you define.
  1. On the
    Data Map
    tab in the
    Resource Explorer
    , right-click a record and click
    Display Hierarchy
    .
The hierarchy that includes the selected record appears, with the name of the selected record displayed in bold.
A record that is a redefine of another record is labeled
