Adding, Editing, or Importing a Resource Configuration

Adding, Editing, or Importing a Resource Configuration

You can add or edit a resource configuration in the PowerExchange Navigator. You can also import resource configurations from an earlier PowerExchange version.
If you previously installed the PowerExchange Navigator and registry entries exist for that installation, complete the following steps to add, edit, or import a resource configuration:
  1. Click
    Options
    Resource Configuration
    .
    The
    Resource Configuration
    dialog box appears.
  2. Click the
    Edit Configuration
    tab.
  3. Complete one of the following actions:
    • To add a resource configuration, click
      Add
      .
      The
      Add Configuration
      dialog box appears.
    • To edit a resource configuration, select a configuration in the
      Available Configurations
      list and click
      Edit
      .
      The
      Edit Configuration
      dialog box appears.
    • To import resource configurations from a different PowerExchange version, click
      Import
      .
      The
      Import Configuration
      dialog box appears.
  4. If you selected to add or edit a resource configuration, enter information about the resource configuration in the
    Edit Configuration
    dialog box or
    Add Configuration
    dialog box.
The following table describes the entry fields:
    Field
    Description
    Name
A user-defined name for the resource configuration.
    Local Path
For a local resource configuration, enter the directory location for data maps and other PowerExchange resources, or click the Browse button to browse to the directory.
    Shared Path
For a shared resource configuration, enter the directory location of shared data maps, or click the Browse button to browse to the directory. The
    Shared Path
value must be different from the
    Local Path
value. Because the double backslash (\\) is not a valid string in a PowerExchange path name, you must first map a network drive to the shared path.
    DBMover
Optionally, enter the path and file name of the DBMOVER configuration file.
    License
Optionally, enter the path and file name of the PowerExchange license key file.
    Set as current configuration
    In the
    Add Configuration
dialog box, sets the resource configuration as the current configuration.
By default, this option is selected.
  5. If you selected to import resource configurations, select the resource configuration or configurations that you want to import in the
    Import Configuration
    dialog box.
The following table describes the entry fields:
    Field
