Patch Deployment Strategy Properties

On the

Patch Deployment Strategy

page, you can configure general properties and deployment options. You can also review the patch history of the run-time application.

The following table describes the general properties that you can configure:

General Property	Description
Patch Name	Name of the patch.
Patch Description	Optional. Description of the patch. The patch description cannot exceed 270 characters.
Retain State Information	Optional. Indicates whether state information is retained or discarded. State information refers to mapping properties and the properties of run-time objects such as mapping outputs or the Sequence Generator transformation. By default, state information is retained. Your choice to retain or discard application state has no effect on the Reset property of a Sequence Generator transformation. For more information about state information, see Application State Information.

The following table describes the patch deployment options that you choose from:

Deployment Option	Description
Deploy to Data Integration Service	Select this option to deploy the patch to a Data Integration Service.
Deploy to File	Select this option to deploy the patch to an application patch archive file.

The following table describes the properties that you can review for each patch in the patch history:

Patch Property	Description
Name	Name of the deployed patch.
Description	Description of the deployed patch. The time that the patch was created is appended to the beginning of the patch description.
