Saving a Copy of an Object

Saving a Copy of an Object

Save a copy of an object to save the object with a different name.
When you save a copy of a reference data object that specifies reference data values in a location outside the Model repository, the Model repository marks the object as not valid. To create a copy, select the object in the
Object Explorer
view, click
Edit
Copy
, and then paste the object to the location you want.
  1. Open an object in the editor.
  2. Click
    File
    Save a Copy As
    .
  3. Enter a name for the copy of the object.
  4. Click
    Browse
    to select the project or folder that you want to copy the object to.
  5. Click
    Finish
    .
