Sibling Reference Lookup Overview

Sibling Reference Lookup Overview

Use the Sibling Reference Lookup feature to navigate and associate related Business Entity Records seamlessly within Entity 360. Without having to refer to Search for each association, the Sibling Reference Lookup function reduces time and effort to locate the impacted records.
Consider the following rules and guidelines to create sibling reference lookups:
  • When a root Business Entity Record, like Informatica has multiple child entities, such as addresses or contacts, you can easily associate any child entity with another.
  • The possible associations can be Saved to Saved, Saved to Unsaved, and Unsaved to Unsaved records.
For unsaved to unsaved records association, it is possible to associate at the same level and not one level down. For example, for an unsaved parent record, you can't associate it with unsaved child because it is one level down. If the parent field is not saved, then it can't be linked with the child entity.
  • Supported associations levels are child to child, child to grandchild, and grand child to grand child.
  • If there exists a foreign key relationship between the entities involved, you can create associations.
  • For timeline-enabled child entities, similar associations apply regarding different versions.
