You can link a parent entity with an immediate unsaved child. Or, associate two siblings that share the same parent and are unsaved. Here, unsaved refers to entities that are in a draft state but have not yet been submitted. Once created in an unsaved state, the sibling or child becomes available for association through the sibling lookup field pop-up.
