Reviewing a Hierarchy Task

Reviewing a Hierarchy Task

Review the proposed changes to a hierarchy by marking the changes that you want to accept and reject, and then performing a task action.
  1. In the Task Manager, select a task that is a request to review an edited hierarchy.
    The record opens in the review panel of the Task Manager.
    If you open an unassigned task, be sure to claim it before you start work.
  2. Optionally, review the task details, comments, attachments.
    1. Click the
      Comments
      tab, and then review the comments.
    2. Click
      Task Details
      .
    3. Review the details of the task, such as the priority and due date.
    4. Download attachments in the
      File Attachments
      section.
    5. Click
      Cancel
      .
  3. Review the changes in the hierarchy.
  4. To accept or reject the proposed changes, click the appropriate icon beside the change:
    Option
    Description
    Accept icon
    Accept the proposed change to the hierarchy.
    Reject icon
    Reject the proposed change to the hierarchy.
    By default, all changes are mark as accepted.
  5. To resolve the task, click an appropriate action button, or click
    More Actions
    and select one of the following actions:
    Option
    Description
    Approve
    If you think the proposed changes that you accepted and rejected are acceptable, click
    Approve
    . The ActiveVOS Server marks the related people activity as completed and performs the next activity in the process.
    Cancel
    If you think the proposed changes are no longer needed, click
    Cancel
    . The ActiveVOS Server closes the task.
    Reject
    If you want to send the proposed changes back for further review, click
    Reject
    . The ActiveVOS Server marks the related people activity as completed and sends the task back to the requester. The task displays the proposed changes that you marked as accept and reject.
    Release
    To return the task to the pool of unassigned tasks, click
    Release
    and type an explanation in the
    Comment
    box. Someone with the same role needs to take action on the task.
