Global IP Filter and Web User IP Filter Overview

A global IP filter list is typically set as a Blacklist. This type of IP filter will specifically block any service requests from specified IP addresses (IP addresses are specified on the IP Filter page) and permit the rest.

The IP filters at the Web User level are typically set as a Whitelist. A Whitelist will permit logins from specified IP ranges, but denies all others.
