Configuring Reporting and SNMP Traps

Configuring Reporting and SNMP Traps

Fast Clone can optionally generate reports for unload jobs in XML and use the Simple Network Management Protocol (SNMP) to send asynchronous notifications, or traps, to an SNMP manager.
The reports specify the number of rows that were unloaded and the number of rows that failed to be unloaded, if any, for each source table. Fast Clone generates the XML report files in the output directory at the completion of unload processing.
If you configure Fast Clone to send SNMP traps, you can monitor the SNMP traps by using PowerSNMP Free Manager or a similar product.
  1. Click the
    Monitoring
tab. The following image shows this view:
  2. In the
    Job name
field, enter a name that will be used as the report file name base and included in the SNMP trap text.
You can override this name for reports.
  3. To configure Fast Clone to generate an unload run report, complete the following steps:
    1. Select the
      Create run report
