Configuring Runtime Settings

Configuring Runtime Settings

On the
Runtime Settings
tab, you can configure runtime settings for data-cloning jobs.
Fast Clone provides the following types of runtime settings:
  • Formatting options for output files
  • Rules for replacing character sequences in the source data that the target load utility does not support with other character sequences
  • Separator and delimiter characters in the data to be loaded
  • Use of parallel processing for direct path unload and conventional path unload processing
  • Names or naming criteria for the configuration file, data files, unload scripts, and load scripts
  • Path to the output directory
  • Criteria for splitting large output files into chunks
  • Options for generating loader input only or for unloading data without generating loader input
  • Miscellaneous options, such as those for performing dirty reads, writing data to pipes, encrypting passwords in the configuration file, and compressing data during unload processing
  • Remote Fast Clone Server options
  • Load settings for the target load utility
  • Settings for integration with Informatica Data Replication
The Fast Clone Console saves these settings to the configuration file, except for the configuration file name and the path to the unload script.
