Validating the Target Schema

Validating the Target Schema

From the Fast Clone Console, you can validate the target schema to ensure that all of the source tables and columns have corresponding target tables and columns.
The validation feature does not check whether the source column datatypes are compatible with the target column datatypes.
  1. Connect to the source database and target database.
  2. On the
    Target DB
tab, ensure that you select the target schema or owner.
  3. Click
    Schema
    Validate target
on the menu bar, or click the
    Validate selected tables on destination
    button on the toolbar.
    The
    Validate tables structure on target
    dialog box appears.
  4. Review the validation results.
The Fast Clone Console highlights validation errors in red.
  5. Click
    OK
    .
  6. Resolve validation errors, if any, and repeat validation procedure.
