Remote Configuration Management Overview

Remote Configuration Management Overview

In the Fast Clone Console, you can use remote configuration management to open and save a cloning configuration file on a remote system. You must run an FTP server on the remote system to transfer the cloning configuration files.
After you save a cloning configuration file to a remote system, you can use it to run data unload jobs on the remote system from the command line. For example, if you run the Fast Clone Console on a standalone system, you can save the cloning configuration file to the source system and then run unload jobs from the command line on the source system using the direct path unload method. In this case, a Fast Clone Server is not required.
Also, you can use remote configuration management to store backups of the cloning configuration files on a remote system.
