Synchronizing through a Staging Database

Synchronizing through a Staging Database

If you are unable to update the Data Vault by running the Data Vault Loader, you can use a staging database on which you run the updated metadata. You can then manually conduct the restore from the staging database to the existing database.
Verify that the target connection exists and that you have access to the connection.
  1. In the Data Discovery Portal, search for the records that you want to restore.
  2. Export the metadata associated with the records.
  3. Run the metadata DDL on the staging database.
  4. Run the restore job from the Data Vault to the staging database.
  5. Alter the table in staging to synchronize with the target database schema.
  6. Using dlink and SQL scripts, manually restore the records from the staging database to the target database.
