With Data Privacy, you can search for specific records in the Data Vault and export, purge, or export and purge the records. When you export the records, you can choose to export them to CSV or XML file format. When you search for the records initially, you can search across multiple applications in the Data Vault. Use Data Privacy to ensure compliance with organizational policies about locating and purging specific data in the Data Vault.
When you export, purge, or export and purge the records returned by a search, you can choose to run the job immediately or add the job to a batch of jobs to run at a later time. If you run an export, purge, or export and purge job immediately, the action triggers a job that you can monitor from the
Monitor Jobs
page. If you add the job to a batch, you can schedule the Data Privacy Batch standalone job to run multiple export, purge, or export and purge jobs at a later time.
The login user that you use to access Data Privacy and run a Data Privacy search or job must have the Data Privacy User system-defined role. The login user must also have the required Data Vault access role to search across the applications in Data Vault.
